Innovation, sustainability and transition management

Goals and objectives
This track offers a forum to discuss research about innovation, sustainability management and transi-tion management as all three themes are necessary for sustainable development. Analysing innovation processes, the interplay between governmental, businesses and civic actors in sustainability manage-ment and their contribution to transition to achieve a more sustainable development are of central in-terest. The focus is on organizational, regional and societal innovations contributing to Sustainable De-velopment and on transition processes necessary to develop sustainable organizations, regions and so-cieties. Although the interplay between innovation, transition and sustainability management is of spe-cial interest also contributions analysing one of these topics in detail are welcome. This session seeks contributions that address these important aspects of sustainable development to derive input for fur-ther research and to derive practical and concrete suggestions.
Themes and topics
We encourage descriptive as well as explanatory contributions and invite contributions that specifical-ly, but not exclusively, deal with the following aspects:
- Innovation, sustainability management and transition management: status, developments, bar-riers and actors
- Sustainability management/CSR
- Sustainable open innovation
- Strategic sustainability management
- Sustainability management/CSR, transition and Resilience
- Capacity building for sustainable transition
- Strategic perspectives of innovation, sustainability management and transition
- Governance aspects of sustainable transitions
